Berthold Hatschek died in Vienna in 1941. His name was not written on the tombstone at his funeral.
On the initiative of the Department of Evolutionary Biology at the University of Vienna, this has now been done with the support of the National Fund of the Republic of Austria for Victims of National Socialism in the summer of 2022, 81 years after Berthold Hatschek's death.
