to promote the research on marine organisms

On the Science Day of the Haus des Meeres on January 27th, 2025, the Rupert Riedel Scholarship 2025 was awarded to Paul Arthur Höller for his master's thesis on the topic
"Characterization of neurogenic cell types in Pycnogonum litorale (Strøm, 1762) via gene expression studies"
(Advisor: Georg Brenneis)

The scholarship is intended to enable the completion of a Master's thesis, which is planned to take place predominantly at an Austrian research institution in 2025. All topics that serve the understanding of marine organisms are eligible for funding and may concern ecological, evolutionary, morphological or biodiversity-related questions, among others.
