Abstract
In this talk, I will take you on a journey through my own path in evolutionary genomics — a voyage across diverse branches of life, exploring different levels of genomic organization and evolutionary mechanisms. From investigating the dynamics of transposable elements in Drosophila species to uncovering patterns of rearrangement and homogenization within mitochondrial genomes of birds of prey, and from studying phylogeographic patterns across various animal groups to examining duplicated genes and pseudogenes, each project has offered new perspectives and insights into how genomes evolve.
